As...well, some of you may know, I am doing a 'Don Bluth's top ten films countdown'.
For all intended purposes of polishing up my gallery, I am going to be drawing them up. Should take about a month or two.
Now, I know we all grew up with films by Disney, and what FOX spawned from their hell hole (Ferngully, Once Upon A Forest, Home Alone 3, Casper). But I digress.
But, you have to stand in awe of the man who was not afraid to throw dark and evil things at young children, and say that they could deal with it: Don Bluth.
This man is amazing. He produced only a short number of films of his own, but they were delightful for the most part. He didn't start off solo, though. You can see his style in Disney movies such as Robin Hood, The Fox and the Hound, Pete's Dragon, and The Sword in the Stone. Unfortunately, he was uncredited for most of these movies. He left the studio due to a rumor that stated Disney would be shut down. And so, Don Bluth went off to become an independent animator.
And that's what we're celebrating here! His own works. Unfortunately, Bluth only made a total of eleven films, not counting sequels. So that means that only one will not be in the mix. Links to the top ten will be listed below, as well as the epilogue journal at the end.
